A Non-Profit Organization Defined By Concerns For Human Welfare
Our efforts remain altruistic in nature as we are free to move and provide community service to what is current, and most needed at all times. Rather more benevolent than philanthropic, we will engage in Medical and Mental Health, Education, Homelessness and Poverty. Our mission is to provide these services on domestic soil, further expanding to reach our citizens all over the World. A global endeavor sparked by the crisis in our backyards.

We Established In 2019
Lanterns of Hope was conceptualized after Hurricane Dorian impact on the Bahamas. In 2019, our President’s ancestral island of Exuma, was hit by the most intense cyclone on record. His desire to help those in need sprang into action. We grouped together and began outreach.
These efforts quickly grew into an Organization centered on being hands on and transparent. We were able to raise funds from benevolent donors and soon able to purchase, ship, and hand deliver care packages to those in need. This simple deed grew and the desire to perform more acts of kindness to those in need was born.

Our Vision
It is with Love, Hope and Conviction that Lanterns of Hope represents a Light in the Darkness. A collective effort to help communities most needed. The strengths and gifts that our members possess will provide aide, basic commodities for human survival and mentorship.
Our vision stems from the innate capacity we have as human beings to assist in restoring hope in times of great need. When humanity sheds a light of safety, shelter and sustenance to the peoples, the lantern of hope serves as a beacon of faith, of better days to come. It restores the faith of the peoples.

Our Story
We extended our views not only on Disaster relief, but together, we harnessed the strengths and talents of our members, we expanded and provided our services in many more areas. We were able to make contributions in the medical and mental health fields.
We helped educate, assist the homeless and the impoverished. When your spirit is called to act; you move. If we acted locally, we can move globally. As an organization we have decided to expand services domestically and Internationally. Some will say that community service is about giving back; for us, it expands beyond that and can be summarized perfectly by one quote, “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” – Dalai Lama
